Brotherhood of Nod Keyring

"I am the future. The Tiberian Sun has risen!"
                                                  (Command&Conquer: Tiberian Sun; 1999)

Charms have this in common, that they often detach, leaving the split ring as a souvenir. I have dozens of such rings and I bet you also have at least one. It can be used to create your own, unique keyring. In today's tutorial I’m going to use the Brotherhood of Nod logo from the Command & Conquer video game series.

Cell Phone Warmer

"Winter must be cold for those with no  memories..."
                                                                                           (Sleepless in Seattle; 1993)

Well, winter season is history now but since it looks like a jumper for your phone, I’m used to call it a warmer. You can also call it a phone-case, so it won’t be associated only with cold months. This is a tutorial for those who can crochet, but also for those who want to learn this technique, since the pattern is simple and easy. It uses only the single crochet stitch, which is basic for crocheting and perfect for beginners.

Zerg T-shirt in 10 minutes

"I am one of the Zerg now, and I like what I am."
                                                                                                                                            (StarCraft; 1998)

How can you make a boring blank T-shirt one of your favourites? By putting your favourite motif on it! The idea was taken from here. It’s a very fast and cheap method to obtain a new piece of clothing. My motif is the Zerg logo from the game “Starcraft”. Every motif is good as long as you like it. You don’t need to be talented in drawing. Simply search for it in Google graphics and choose a picture of a high resolution. My T-shirt has been washed many times and the motif is still of perfect quality.

What you can do with a broken mirror...

"Magic Mirror on the wall who's the fairest one of all?"
(Snow White and the Seven Dwarves; 1939)

They say that when you break a mirror, 7 years of bad luck will be upon you. But the mirror will not always burst into pieces when falling. Sometimes it can only cause the frame to break apart. You can fix it by using some glue but sometimes it’s not enough.  That’s how you get a piece of silver glass, which doesn’t look too fabulous and, what is more, you can get hurt because of its sharp edges. Not used for months, it lays somewhere you don’t look and finally, when it’s found, you decide to throw it away. I’ll show you today how you can give it a “second chance” and transform it into a cute little dressing table. The idea is mine but inspired by those photos.
